I talked to my buddy Denny Sands today. He told me that Shabbona Lake is still mostly covered with a thin layer of ice. It should be gone quickly.
Speaking of Denny, don't forget that Shabbona's Lakeside Bait, Tackle and Boat Rental will be opening for the 2011 season on April 1st. When you go in there, say Hi to Denny for me. i am sure that Denny will be more than happy to show you exactly where the fish are biting.
