Tom from Time On The Water Outdoors told me this morning that the guys who have been getting out on hte Illinois River have been catching lots of saugers. I would personally target the Starved Rock area. Look for fish up towards Lovers Leap.
Tom also told me that a couple of shore anglers caught saugers while fishing from the shore around the Spring Valley bridge.
Personally, I am waiting for LaSalle Lake to open. I know I have been talking about this alot lately, but it is a huge deal for me because of the great fishing there.
